What is British Library Digital Rights Management?
Answered By: Alex McIlroy Last Updated: Jan 27, 2016 Views: 1
The Digital Rights Management package or DRM Lite is an electronic delivery method that allows the British Library to supply secure, encrypted documents and ensure that the item is used only as permitted, and that the rights of the copyright holder are protected. DRM Lite replaces FileOpen, another electronic delivery method used by the British Library.
Access to the document is via a username and password and means that the document is locked to the user rather than the PC.
Users need to be registered for British Library On Demand in order to open documents.
