Are there guidelines for using Special Collections?

Yes, in order to protect and preserve our material, certain restrictions apply in our Reading room. Lockers are provided which allow for the safe storage of bags and coats; food, drinks and ink are not permitted in our Reading Room. Access to early printed books, manuscripts or discrete collections must be arranged in advance; access to these materials is restricted in the evenings and at weekends.
