In the interests of maintaining a clean and pleasant study environment for everyone, the consumption of food in the Library is prohibited. This applies to all food, including snacks such as fruit, sweets and crisps.

There are, however, designated areas close to the Library (for example, the student lounge in the McClay - image below) where eating food is permitted.

Drinks are permitted in the Library, as long as they are in bottles or cups with secure lids.
