What medieval manuscript material is held in Special Collections?

Special Collections holds c. 70 MSS dating from the C11 – C15. Many of these items are fragments, but the collection includes such highlights as a late C15 Book of Hours (MS1/17) and a late medieval copy of Thomas Aquinas’ Cantena aurea (MS1/126). Also held in Special Collections are several examples of medieval manuscripts re-used as binding for printed books, and an extensive collection of medieval manuscripts held on microfilm.
