DRM Lite is an electronic delivery method that allows the British Library to supply secure, encrypted documents. In order to access these documents, you will need:

  • to be registered with the British Library On Demand service
  • access to the internet
  • Adobe reader 10 or later installed on your device
  • to disable any in-built PDF viewer in your browser
    • Google Chrome uses an in-built PDF viewer. To disable this, type chrome://plugins into the address bar in Chrome and click on disable in the Chrome PDF viewer section.
    • Both Internet Explorer and Firefox do not use in-built PDF viewers.
  • if you are using an iPad, you should use Apple's default Safari browser.
