How do I know where to find a book in the Library?

The Library discovery platform, Library Search can be found on the Library homepage. You can access it from home, from your mobile device or from the computers in the Library. 

By entering a title, keywords, author or other search terms you will be offered results based on library holdings. These results will tell you where your book is located (eg McClay Floor 1, Medical Library, Queen's Online Resource), the loan type (eg Standard, 2 Night loan) and the number of books available. All books are ordered on the shelves according to their shelfmark. See screenshot below.

You will also be able to link to eresources from the Library Search.

If a book is out on loan to another patron, you will have the option to request it.
