Why do I get Queen's Shibboleth Login - Stale Request?

You will see Queen's Shibboleth Login - Stale Request message when accessing a resource because:

  • you have either used the Back button in your browser
  • you have erroneously bookmarked the login page rather than the resource
  • your browser session has timed out or your credentials are cached

To resolve the error

Close the Queen's Shibboleth Login - Stale Request window and try logging into the resource again.

If the error persists clear your browser cache and close all your browser tabs.

Open a fresh new browser session and try to access the resource again. 

You can also try another browser, one you don't normally use such as Opera
 

If you continually experience the error when logging into a resource, it may be that the Shibboleth URL and login credentials have been saved incorrectly in your browser or app.

Please remove the saved Shibboleth URL and saved QUB login credentials in your browser or app settings.
