EndNote interprets part of the organisation’s name as a family name and you might find that the reference or citation is formatted incorrectly in Word.  For example:

United Nations may look like Nations, U.

For the reference to display correctly, you must put a comma at the end of the organisation’s name in the author field in EndNote, for example:

United Nations,

  • Go to EndNote

  • Select the reference

  • In the right-hand pane, select Edit

  • In the author field, put a comma at the end of the organisation’s name

  • Click Save

To reflect this change, return to the Word document and click on Update Citations and Bibliography.
