Many ebooks on ProQuest Ebook Central now open in EPUB format by default. EPUB provides better compatibility with assistive technologies and allows the text to adapt to different screen sizes and user preferences. However, because EPUB content is reflowable, page numbering is not consistent.
If you need fixed page numbers for referencing or citations, many ebooks will let you switch to the PDF version of the ebook.
Click the book icon in the top right corner of Ebook Central reader:
In the book details panel that opens, select Switch to PDF.
Once the PDF version opens, navigate to the required section and note the page number displayed on the screen.
