Can I ask my Subject Librarian to peer review my systematic or scoping review search strategy?

Due to limited capacity, Subject Librarians are not able to peer review search strategies. This includes evaluating strategies in line with external frameworks such as the Peer Review of Electronic Search Strategies (PRESS) checklist.

When students and staff at Queen's embark on reviews, Subject Librarians can offer guidance on devising search strategies, and give a general assessment of whether or not proposed searches are likely to work in different databases.

But Subject Librarians are unable to participate formally in systematic or scoping review processes, such as article screening and search strategy peer review.

If you have any questions about this, please contact your Subject Librarian.
