The default settings for printing using the Multi-functional Devices (MFDs) are black and white (mono), collated and double-sided. Mono printing costs 5p per side.
At your PC
Click on File > Print and select the correct print queue.
- Student Mono on STU-PRINT will print documents in black and white (mono)
- Student Colour on STU-PRINT will print documents in colour
To select other print options such as stapling or hole-punching, click on Printer Properties.
Click OK to save your selected options.
Click Print to send your document to the print queue.
At the MFD
Insert your Smartcard into the card reader and press the green OK button on the reader.
Press the green OK button on the card reader to print the displayed print job, or press the red STOP button to move onto the next job.
Remove your smartcard when prompted to do so.
Please note the mono printing costs 5p per side while colour printing costs 20p per side.
If you wish to print in colour, you will need to go to a colour MFD. You can print in mono at any MFD.
The print job will remain in the print queue for up to 3 hours and can be released from a MFD in any of the student computing areas.
If the MFD does not have the resources required to complete the print job, then it may not proceed with the job.
