ClinicalKey allows you to subscribe to alerts of ClinicalKey journals from either a journal page or article page within ClinicalKey. Once subscribed to a particular journal's alerts, you will receive the contents page of the latest issue of that particular journal via email, with direct links to the listed articles.
To subscribe to journal alerts, go to ClinicalKey, via the Healthcare Library website > Databases A-Z page:
Then click the ClinicalKey link:
Next, enter your Healthcare Library username and password if required - for help on logging in with your Healthcare Library account on Trust devices, please click here. You will then be directed to the ClinicalKey home page. To use the subscription feature in ClinicalKey, you will need to click Register to create a ClinicalKey account:
You then to provide your name, an email address to which you would like the alerts to be sent, and a password:
Once registered, you will be returned to the ClinicalKey home page. Your new ClinicalKey account will be linked to your Healthcare Library account, and you will now be logged into your ClinicalKey account automatically on any future visits.
If you would like to subscribe to alerts from a specific journal, you can set the search field to 'Journals', enter the journal name (e.g. Lancet) and then select the matching result:
You will then be taken to the ClinicalKey page for that journal where you will see a list of volumes/issues. You can then click the bell icon at the top of this page to subscribe to alerts from this journal - once clicked, it should turn dark blue, and you will subsequently receive an email with a list of article titles from any new issues of that journal:
You can also choose journals for alerts from a list of journal article results on a topic - either from the results list, or the article page itself. You can then click on the title of the journal, to be taken to that journal's page in ClinicalKey:
Journal alerts to which you have subscribed will be sent to your email inbox when a new issue of that journal is available via ClinicalKey. You can click on the title links within this email to be taken directly to the article on ClinicalKey. Please note that you may be required to log in using your Healthcare Library account to access the full text article:
