ClinicalKey provides access to images from books and journals which can be saved to your ClinicalKey account and exported to presentations.
To save images and use the presentation maker feature, go to ClinicalKey, via the Healthcare Library website > Databases A-Z page:
Then click the ClinicalKey link:
Next, enter your Healthcare Library username and password if required - for help on logging in with your Healthcare Library account on Trust devices, please click here. You will then be directed to the ClinicalKey home page. To use the image features in ClinicalKey, you will need to click Register to create a ClinicalKey account:
You then need to provide your name, an email address, and a password:
Once registered, you will be returned to the ClinicalKey home page. Your new ClinicalKey account will be linked to your Healthcare Library account, and you will now be logged into your ClinicalKey account automatically on any future visits.
To access images on a topic, change the search field to 'multimedia' and enter your keyword(s), then click 'Search'
On the results page, you can view a thumbnail of the images provided - clicking on the thumbnail will display the full-sized image:
If you would like to then save an image to your ClinicalKey account, click on the star icon next to the image:
This will save the image to your 'Saved Content' area in your account, which you can access by clicking on your account name:
To save and export images as part of a PowerPoint presentation, click on the 'Add to Presentation' icon:
Next, click on 'Create New Presentation', type in a name for your presentation, then click 'Save', then the 'Add' button. You can add multiple images to the same presentation:
To view or export your presentation containing your selected images, click on your account name in the top right corner and select 'Presentations':
Next, select the presentation name you wish to export, and click on the 'Export' link:
The image will be automatically downloaded as a .ppt file (PowerPoint slide) which you can then view, edit or save:
