You should first check Library Search to check whether the book you want is available. You should also note down the location and shelf-mark of the item to make it easier to locate it on the shelves.

Go to the shelf in the appropriate Library branch and retrieve the book.

Take the book to the information desk in any of the libraries in order to borrow the book. Alternatively you can use the self-service machine in the Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland branches at the RVH and QUB Medical Biology Centre, or the McClay Library, to check-out or issue your book yourself.

If you can't find what you are looking for, or require help using the self-service machine, please ask staff who will be happy to assist.
