If you have an item on loan which has been requested by another borrower, we will contact you and ask you to return it to the Library. This is called a recall. You will have one week from the date of this communication to return it, after which the item will become overdue. Please note recalled items will block you from bothering other items or your other loans being automatically renewed.

The item will be marked on your account as recalled and a new return date will be allocated.

Once returned, you may request the item again if you still wish to read it in which case the next reader will only have the book for one week.

All items are subject to recall at any time, including during vacations.

Please note that email is the preferred method of communication with HSC members and it is beneficial to have an email address attached to your library record. We will use this email address for your notifications.
