Q. What happens if I don't return a recalled item?

All Standard Loan items are subject to recall if required by another reader. Thus, whenever a book is in demand the loan period is immediately reduced to one week and you will be unable to borrow or request after this date.

If you do not return a recalled item on time, the item will be assumed lost and a replacement charge will be applied automatically to your account. 

Your library account will also be blocked which means that you may not be able to borrow, renew or request items until the book is returned. The replacement charge is waived fully when the book is returned.
