Q. My hold is ready to collect. What do I do?

The Healthcare Library at RVH

• Go to the self-service collection point or holds shelf in the Library. This is located diagonally opposite the main desk in the Healthcare Library at RVH
• Your hold or request is shelved under the first 3 letters of your surname and the last 4 digits of your borrower number.
• Check it is the correct item.
• Use the self-service machine to issue the item to yourself before leaving the Library.
• If you have any difficulties locating your request or using the self-service machine, please ask for assistance from library staff if face to face services are available. Alternatively use the Library Chat function on the Healthcare Library homepage to ask your query.

The Healthcare Library at QUB Medical Biology Centre

• Go to the self-service collection point or holds shelf in the Library. This is located opposite the main desk in the Healthcare Library at QUB Medical Biology Centre.
• Your hold or request is shelved under the first 3 letters of your surname and the last 4 digits of your borrower number.
• Check it is the correct item.

HSC Library branches

• Go to the information desk in the Library where you are to collect your hold or request.
• Inform a member of staff that you have a hold or request that is ready to collect.
• Once the item is located on the hold shelf, library staff will issue the item to you.
