Yes, you can join the Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland as an HSC Placement Student, for the duration of your placement. You should be on placement on site for at least 6 weeks at the time of registration. HSC Placement Student membership allows you access to:

  • Physical Healthcare Library branches, excluding the McClay Library
  • Borrowing rights, allowing you to borrow 6 books for 4 weeks
  • Login details that allow you to manage your loans and check your loan history.

Unfortunately you are not eligible to access the electronic resources of The Healthcare Library. You should use your home institution as your primary source for electronic books, journals and databases. Please contact any of the Healthcare Library Branches if you have further questions.
