Q. How do I transfer Search Alerts and Journal Alerts to the new version of EBSCO?

In July 2026, the Healthcare Library will be switching from the current, 'classic' EBSCO interface, to a new version of the EBSCO platform.

Most content saved in EBSCO personal accounts, such as articles and CINAHL Ultimate saved searches, will be transferred automatically to the new EBSCO platform.

However, Search Alerts, Journal Alerts, and other 'custom' content won't be transferred automatically, and will instead need to be recreated in the new version of EBSCO.

To download a record of your classic EBSCO alerts and custom content, so that you can recreate them in the new version:

1. Go to the new EBSCO platform: https://research.ebsco.com/c/hvtjeq/search/advanced/filters
2. Click Projects
3. Under Looking for your old folders?, click Get Report
4. Click Download report
5. An Excel spreadsheet will be downloaded - use the data in this file to recreate alerts and other custom content as required
